How V2I technology works on highways - V2I Smart Highway

The Congress took place between 17 and 21 September 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark. With the motto "ITS - Quality of Life", the Congress focused on the use of intelligent transportation systems to improve the quality of life. The event itself focused on several topics:
- Mobility services - from transportation to mobility,
- ITS and the environment,
- connected and autonomous traffic,
- Future of delivery of goods,
- Usefulness of satellite technology in transport,
- Traffic network management.
Asist was demonstrating the completed V2I Smart Highway project, the course of the project and the working components of the project that dealt with vehicle-to-infrastructure communication in real time. The project was cofunded by Republic of Slovenia and EU from European regional development fund.
The project was also presented in special lecture about the Šentvid Tunnel, where the testing ground of the first Pilot V2I test site in Slovenia took place. It was presented in one of the congresses sections: "Lectures and presentations of the latest developments in the field of ITS".
The ITS World Congress was attended by over 10,000 candidates from 96 countries. More than 250 sessions were organized with a large number of top speakers, governments, private companies and academics.
We are pleased and proud that, with the presentation and demonstration of the project V2I Smart Highway as one of the latest achievements in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems, we managed to present our company Asist to the general public, and at the same time contribute to a better recognition of Slovenia as an important player in the development of advanced transportation systems.
